We got outside as much as we could this week and completed all of our WinterKids' (https://winterkids.org/) challenges. The theme this week was Family, and we celebrated being with our families with a Family Fun Night. It was an amazing sight to see so many families braving the cold to have some fun together outside! We had plenty of snow for sledding; light up toys; snow painting; face painting; a magical lighted story walk through the woods; and hot chocolate (provided by Aroma Joes).
Hopefully we can make this an annual event!

We are now halfway done with our WinterKids Winter Games competition at Hall-Dale Elementary School. This week, the entire school came together to eat lunch at the same time. Many families joined us to eat lunch and celebrate being part of such a great community!
The week has been packed with great activities to help us learn about choosing healthy fuel for our bodies. We participated in relay races; made a healthy snack shaped like a heart; used a pedometer to count our steps; and had the head of nutrition speak with a class. To end the week, we will have an assembly put on by the Peter Alfond Prevention & Healthy Living Center. They will talk with us about the importance of choosing nutritional foods.
